House of Middle East & Asia (House of MEA) returns to London Fashion Week at Fashion Scout to present their Autumn Winter 2017 collections. This collaborative show is an initiative of FAD International Academy, India's leading and Dubai's emerging Fashion School with a global footprint. House of MEA was born as a result of a student project and supported by FAD International to bring it to life through Fashion Scout. House of MEA is the only platform to promote & incubate emerging and established talent from across the Middle East & Asia at global fashion capitals. Going further, the vision is to incubate and support designers under the mentorship of leading designers & retail houses in Europe to promote Middle Eastern & Asian talent in Europe. The role of FAD International, as a leading Luxury, Fashion & Style School in India and an emerging institution in Dubai, is to be at the forefront of giving emerging talent the platform to engage with the international industry.

This season House of MEA is pleased to present three designers, Felix Bendish, Kajal Patel, and Nivedita Saboo, each with their eclectic collections at Fashion Scout London.

Felix Bendish

‘Oxygen’

Felix Bendish is a lifestyle brand which retails unconventional fashion accessories and clothing in their in-house studio based in Mumbai, India. With his Avant Guard approach to thinking, there is a continual change in new innovative ideas and design products. Bendish has participated in fashion events across the world including Premier Classe (Paris Fashion Week) Fashion Scout (London Fashion Week) Amazon India Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week (Mumbai). Felix brings a collection that comes from organic luxury, incorporating intense blood reds, pristine whites and emerald greens to form the core colour story with sparkling accents of metallic sheen throughout. Infused on the pessimist idea of resources, Felix shows textures through the use of spun cottons to PVC leather, whilst featuring anatomical organs and lines making each piece look dramatic and modern. The collection primarily focuses on the unique accessories, enhancing the silhouettes are clean cuts being added for creative drama. The ‘Oxygen’ woman isn’t afraid to experiment and believes in freedom of expression

Kajal Patel

The designer of beautiful Bridal and occasion wear Kajal Patel creates pieces that portray a unique style and individuality, giving the bride or groom confidence and sophistication. Kajal’s collections are hand crafted with a balance of contemporary style, pairing together exquisite quality, timeless design and elegance for an intimate look. Catering to each client’s individual needs, Kajal believes made to measure and bespoke is the true path to take, using craftsmanship with heritage of her Indian background. Patel first started her fashion design career in 2007 and soon after started creating bridal couturier pieces, celebrating the intricate cultural skills in her work appealing to today’s woman. Her unique colours and intricate details portray her creative eye. She is now celebrating her success by launching her first ready to wear collection at London Fashion Week AW17 displaying her luxury, contemporary collection -The Gold Collection.

 

Nivedita Saboo

Draws her inspiration from the entwining nuance of life itself, paring design and detail together to create true perfection. She is a connoisseur of beautifully textured fabrics, innovative methods and executions. Always valuing the indigenous Indian techniques and supporting Indian arts throughout her designs, portraying luxury, history and elegance. Nivedita’s designs and creations have taken her internationally, showcasing at showrooms at Paris fashion week Rue de Rivoli, and Hong Kong. Her work was also showcased at the coveted red carpet of Cannes, she received a spectacular reception to her collection at the Asia model festival. Nivedita has also recently been the fashion director to award winning Mr World 2016 - Rohit Khandelwal, as well as winning the gold medal from the prestigious Nation Institute of Fashion Technology. Shapely structured cuts are her gift, draping fluidic silhouettes is her passion. Designing graceful and spell-binding pieces is her life.
